"Foosball UK" planning major South West expansion following
acquisition of rival "Foos4Fun"

Armed with world-renowned Fireball tables and a unique sales package, dynamic Chester-based company "Foosball UK" is in the process of re-launching foosball (formerly table football) on the UK stage and its acquisition of rival Bristol-based "Foos4Fun" is likely to accelerate that process.

Foosball UK has established itself as a key player in the UK market, placing 100 tables in venues across the North of England with some of the country's leading pub chains.

With its offer of a free table and a share of the takings, the company has managed to reduce the risk element to venues – something which has proved very popular with landlords looking to attract custom in a difficult market.

Foosball UK recently identified the South West and Wales as a key growth area. With an established network of venues in the area going back over 5 years, Foos4Fun possessed deep local knowledge and many productive assets, and therefore was an ideal fit to help accelerate the development of the UK game.

"Now the deal has been signed we can’t wait to get moving and develop the South West into a hotbed of UK foosball," said Foosball UK Director Jonathan May. "We're also thrilled to have expanded the reach of our services onto a national setting."

Former Foos4Fun Managing Director David Oates is delighted with the new arrangement.

"I am very pleased Foos4Fun is now part of Foosball UK," said David. "The company is doing exciting things for UK Foosball and I look forward to that continuing with the additional economies, focus and flexibility this acquisition provides."
